Implement an application system with a Centralized
database management system.
Automating a highly paper-based system where facsimile,
telephone and other means of communication were engaged
for all the sales and customer support activities.
The existing system involved logging of all the marketing
activities on paper and repeatedly presenting the
same data as reports leading to redundancy. There
was no centralized database management of prospects.
It was cumbersome for the management to be advised
on the status of each activity involved by each of
the sales personnel. No track of project implementation
and support maintained.
Marketing and Support of the entire sales cycle from
lead generation to sales closure including recording
all pre-sales, implementation and post implementation
activities needed to be indexed.
In the new application marketing personnel log in
their activities for each day and against each activity,
remarks, plan of action, future prospects, objectives
to be realized, time planned, status of prospect etc.,
are also filled. It lead the end user through a complete
pre-sales cycle when linked with the customer database.
After order closure, all details are completely inherited,
and used by the Support team. A large quantity of
customer information and implementation is carried
out. Implementation plans / activities are logged
in and any deviations trigger explanations. Automatic
reminders are sent to appropriate personnel / authority
levels at start of implementation and complaints,
modifications, suggestions, training etc are all addressed
through appropriate forms. Summary of Customer and
